Spring Pinkberry fundraiser

Do you like frozen yogurt?  Or maybe going to DIFF this weekend?  If you’re seeing some movies at the Magnolia on Saturday (or not), don’t forget to stop by the Pinkberry at West Village (McKinney and Blackburn).  Pinkberry is giving connect2urfuture 20% of sales Saturday. Just mention connect2urfuture at the register. They’ll even have a little sign there to remind you.

They’re open from noon to midnight.  Come have some yummy frozen yogurt, and help out connect2urfuture!

Tuesday, June 8 – 7:00pm
Angelika Plano

Opening at the Hawaii International Film Festival to a sold-out crowd, PRINCESS KA’IULANI took the festival’s 2009 Audience Award. Not only a visual triumph, this detailed look at one of Hawaii’s most fascinating women (from writer/director/producer Marc Forby) chronicles the impactful life of Princess Ka’iulani (Q’orianka Kilcher – THE NEW WORLD), one of the last heirs to the Kingdom of Hawaii. Set at the turn of the century, in the midst of civil war, teenaged Princess Ka’iulani is forced to start a new life in an English school where she is considered far from royalty. After falling in love with an Englishman, the young princess receives news of the end of Hawaii’s monarchy and must choose between true love and responsibility to her beloved people. (100 minutes; Rated PG)
